Slated for a fall release on PC, Minion Master will boast features such as a Deck Builder, 6 player co-op and versus multiplayer, a Level Editor, and a constantly expanding universe of Minions to control. Minion Master is inspired by physical RPG board and card games while adding in elements only possible in a virtual world. Players summon and control their Minions by playing cards. Minion Master is a Digital Boardgame where players control of armies of figurines on a hex-based board. "When a ranged attacker is up high, they should be able to shoot farther," said David, "it just makes sense." Dragons get a boost on lava, Archers in the forest, and so on." Minions may receive increased Attack or Defense ratings, as well as other potential debuffs for being on dangerous terrain.įinally, the team has added range bonuses based on elevation. "We've tried to make bonuses very intuitive. "Plains will give a bonus to Knights on a horse," said Guy Somberg, Technical Director. Tile Bonuses have also been added to Minion Master. Other teleportation options include warping farther but losing a turn or sending Enemies off to the end of the board (while giving that Enemy a bonus of some sort). Minions can now be instantly flung across the board regardless of how far they can move or what type of terrain is in the way. To get around the new movement rules, the team has added Teleportation. In addition, climbing in elevation will slow a Minion down.
